We at It’s Evansville believe a lack of local voice, and forum of constructive criticism on local issues, is detrimental to the economic development of our city, and more specifically; the revitalization of the downtown area. The lack of community voice is primarily a result of consolidation in the newsprint business over the last 20 years, and of course the pay-walled Courier website. These factors combined created a vacuum of local news and commentary.
ItsEvansville.com’s mission is NOT to only criticize, or bemoan, but is to provide a voice for Evansville residents who seek positive economic development for the community, and better representative leadership. We furfill our mission by providing community awareness via our commentary on local developments.
Our forum is community focused, with the goal of providing an outlet for community comments on issues which fall on deaf ears due to the degradation and dilution of the Courier Press.
