Wayne Heart Predicts A Shit Storm

I don’t think this will beat out Jeff Lyon’s evacuating the weather center, but telling everyone else to keep watching, but it’s still pretty funny.

Hey, it actually snowed for once!

I was watching the WFIE news at 5 and Ann Comis started out the broadcast saying “Well, the snow has begun falling.” No, really?

I haven’t tried braving the roads yet, but from what I hear, there’s a nice layer of ice on top of the asphalt.

Attack of the Green Blob

It’s been raining consistently for the past 36 hours and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. Luckily, it’s only been a consistent drizzle and not the downpour and storms we saw late last week.

The rain has also brought on a fall chill to their air. The highs this week are topping out around 60 which is more normal than the 80+ we’ve been experiencing over the past few weeks. Right now it feels great, but I’m sure I will be dreading the weather a month from now.

Both WFIE and ABC25 are predicting rain through Saturday, so grab an umbrella. Also, be sure to watch out for the awful drivers. It’s like people forget how to drive when there is water on the pavement.

Welcome To Hell. It’s Hot Here.

In case you’re a recluse, you’ve no doubt been outside for a moment and been assaulted by the awful heatwave we’ve been experiencing for the past few weeks. Needless to say, the weather has been downright miserable.

Knowing that the majority of It’s Evansville readers are under 45, you’ll be happy to know that yesterday was the hottest day of your life. The official thermometer at Evansville Regional Airport recorded 104 degrees at 3:22PM, making it the hottest day since July 13, 1966. Wednesday was the fourth time the temperature has gone above 100 degrees just this month.

The heat wave should ease off by the weekend, but not before we equal or beat another record on Thursday. The current record of 100 degrees was set in 1988.

This stinks.
