I love a good parade as much as the next guy and we have two happening this Sunday. First up is the parade to welcome back the 163rd after a scenic tour of Iraq. Starting around early afternoon when the troops arrive at Tri-State Aero, you can line up along 41 to the Lloyd to Vann Road to welcome the troops home.

After your done waving your flags, head downtown to the Main St Walkway for the 20th annual Downtown Holiday Parade at 3PM. The parade route follows the walkway as well as Locust and Second St. Kids can meet Santa at 1PM Sunday at the park at Fourth and Main streets.

I’m usually not one to begin the holiday celebration before Thanksgiving has passed, but since I’m down here and the parade is going right by my place, I’ll see if I can grab some video and photos for the site.
