Post Election Day Wrapup

Well that was fun, but can we never talk about politics again? I’m so burnt out.
- Gas prices are below $2 in Evansville.
- Locally, the election day went off without incident for the most part.
- Indiana is a blue state. Vanderburgh County went blue. Warrick stayed red.
- How did Obama win? New voters.
- Reaction around the world shows approval for the Obama win.
- Here’s a good story on how and why Mitch Daniels was reelected.
- Pack up the bow ties. Steve Melcher defeated Jeff Korb for his Evansville County Commissioners seat. Hope trying to sneak that anti-abortion ordinance under the rug was worth it.
- The EVSC referendum passed, so look for a new high school and middle school in the future.

I am seriously happy about Korb getting the boot. He should have been stripped of his post immediately when he did that trickery with the abortion law. I’d be interested in knowing how many people voted against him because of that.

I didn’t vote for him and it was a factor.
