Monday Night Football Live Blog

Since the Colts are doing the Monday Night thing against the undefeated Titans of Tennessee, I thought I’d do a liveblog tonight while I’m watching the game. Check back later tonight for my commentary on the game and probably some other random sports stuff.
For now, talk smack. Don’t be too harsh though. We wouldn’t want to hurt Vince Young’s feelings.
6:48: I refuse to watch any pre-game coverage. I will, however, watch PTI. Penguin Dance, baby.
7:09: I gave up and put on Countdown. Without the PTI studio makeup, Kornheiser’s combover is even more apparent.
7:25: ESPN keeps reminding us that the Colts must win this game. Thanks, guys.
7:30: GAME ON.
7:35: I thought it was bad when I read a script on Plugged In, but Kornheiser’s dramatic lead in is even more forced.
7:52: What’s the overunder for references to Jeff Fisher’s mustache tonight?
9:56: OK. I suck at live blogging, but blame our food editor who got hungry. 14-14 going into the 4th.
10:01: Marvin Harrison isn’t the same since that alleged shooting.
10:12: The key to watching ESPN NFL telecasts is the mute button with Sirius NFL Radio’s play-by-play going in the background.
10:17: Baseball is suspended. You now have no excuse to not watch the last 10 minutes of the game.
10:20: Stick a fork in ‘em.

The Colts need a victory this week, going into next weeks New England game. Playing the Pats, with or without Mr. Brady, isn’t easy.
if we dont win tonight kiss the AFC championship goodbye trying to post a video comment FTL
I have now migrated to the unofficial bar of Its Evansville (Cheeseburger). 7-0 FTW
Go Rays. Oh wait… never mind. :)
MLB Rain delay. Sigh.
MLB Rain suspension.
Oh, speaking of live blogging. I’m thinking of leaving a post up all of election day for people to share stuff over (videos, photos, commentary) from their local polling station and to just chat about election results.
what a bullshit game. tony dungy missed 2 calls that should have been challenged. it was just as much of a coaching loss as it was player. the colts need to get healthy and we will be in good shape. kiss the afc championship goodbye.
side note its great to see everyone jump off the colts bandwagon.
You have one thing right. The Colts need to get healthy. That loss had nothing to do with not challenging a call or a coaching mistake. The Titans flat out beat them. The offense is still out of sync and the defense is mediocre. That’s why they lost, not because Dungy’s staff didn’t let him know soon enough to throw the red flag. Great teams overcome stuff like that. This team is struggling to be good.
Cody is RIGHT! Jumping off the bandwagon is 100% correct.
I remember 2 or 3 years ago when the colts were blowing everyone out and the local tv station would switch to a more competative game. the colts fans were so irate that they complained to the station and the station backed down and would keep the colts game on till the end. well…i hope everybody saw all 60 minutes of last nights game and i hope they see all 60 minutes of their remaining games featuring the likes of N.E., Pittsburgh, S.D., Jax, Houston and Tennessee.
Be careful with what you ask for….
If everyone jumps off the bandwagon does that mean I will never have to see those god awful pink Colts jerseys and hats again?
Justin…they will be replaced with Bears, Titans or Rams jerseys and caps. Pink of course.
I trust those who are goving up on the Colts will not be back when this team gets hot later this year and makes a playoff run? The mood surrounding this team right now is eerily similar to the mood in 2006; right before they inexplicably got hot and won the Super Bowl. I am not saying that will happen again, but the the schedule the Colts have the rest of the way, the playoffs are still very much within their reach.
