Happy Fall Festival week everyone. I hope you’ll be taking your Bingo cards and eating far too much greasy food on the West side this week.
- If you are planning to vote, today is the last day to register.
- Speaking of the presidential race, both candidates are putting a ton of time in Indiana this year as we are actually a battleground state for once. Obama will be in Indy on Wednesday while McCain is adding more staff to Indiana. Can we please get Sarah to visit Evansville. That’s all I want.
- While our local banks aren’t being affected by the economic crisis, UE is. They do a lot of business with Wachovia, one of the failed banks, and 80% of their their short-term funds with the bank are not available at present.
- Even though we are trying to replace it, Roberts Stadium is still turning a profit.
