Quincy Is Back on the Air Thanks to RTN25

While I enjoyed the premieres of Fringe and Entourage this week, there’s something nostalgic about watching awful TV from the late 70’s and 80s. WEHT has finally put their digital channel to use for something besides a live weather radar with RTN25. You can tune in as appropriate:
- Over the Air 25-2
- Insight: Channel 437
- WOW: Channel 111
- Time Warner: Channel 311 & 184
The Retro Television Network features the B-list celebrity equivalent of classic television. Quincy, Kojak, The Incredible Hulk and the original Knight Rider. How awesome is that? RTN also distributes Harry & The Hendersons and 21 Jump Street, so hopefully someone at 25 can put that on the programming schedule.
Also, Alf. ‘Nuff said.

Honestly, I prefer the weather and radar over the old re-runs. When I have an outdoor event coming up or storms are approaching it is nice to have that channel to get a quick glance at the radar and local weather.
Yeah yeah,I know…. the Weather Channel is supposed to provide that service. But, more times than not all I get is a Storm Stories re-run or the forcast for Timbuktu.
There was a time when I enjoyed those old shows… in the 1980’s when they first aired.
I think they still go all weather all the time when appropriate. Other than that, I don’t think having a “weather channel” is a worthwhile investment when everyone has the Internet.
I found this programming last week while home with my sick daughter. I was psyched to watch Marcus Welby, Quincy and Hulk. I am waiting for Sunday night though, for That’s Incredible and Hardy Boys!
