Evansville Had a Playmate? Who Knew?

Comments | Add A Comment

Ski Day is this weekend, so if that’s your thing have a blast. I’m personally allergic to the outdoors and water, so I’ll be inside scouring the Web for stuff to post here. The thing that stood out to me about the Ski Day announcement is this:

This year’s celebrity guest host will be Evansville native A.J. Alexander, an actress and model who was Miss May in Playboy magazine this year.

Someone in Evansville was the Playmate of the month? Who needs Don Mattingly when you have this type of local celebrity!?

A.J Alexander is the stage name of Amanda Herrmann according to a C&P story from a few months ago.

On her Playboy shoot:

She earned $25,000 up front and will make more from personal appearances in Las Vegas and elsewhere arranged by the magazine — and she’s counting on it boosting her career.

Like most that pose in Playboy, she is a budding actress hoping the pin-up life will lead her to her first red carpet. I don’t think making an appearance at Ski Day was what she had in mind for boosting her career.

I’d link up her myspace, official site and photo spread but the links are NSFW and I don’t want to be to blame for you being fired.

I missed it. I suck.

The best part of the story, however, is all the religious/family fanatics in the comments who think it is deplorable that she does it and that the Courier printed it.

i do my best to avoid reading comments at C&P—reminds me how close-minded and vitriolic and just plain ol’ ignorant our fellow tri-staters can be/are. granted, there are a few that make me laugh…..too many, though, cause me to shake my head in shame.

The comments are quite interesting, and yes they do show how uneducated the tri state is.

@zrx1200r - how insightful. I’m weary of the haters, too.
