Freedom Festival Is On!

As of 11AM this morning, the food booths are open and the Freedom Festival has begun. Alcoholics everywhere rejoice! Tonight’s big event is the bierstube from 7PM until 2AM. I’m certain that our roving bar and drink reporter will be on the scene.
So grab your bingo cards and some sunscreen and go double fist some corndogs.

I am working at the Children’s Museum this summer. Today we took the camp kids into the room to eat lunch, and as soon as they sat down, at 11:30 VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. The super loud noise of the fighter jets going over head and down the river started! Scared the kids half to death—til we told them what it was and they were then excited, trying to spot the planes. Personally, I love watching the jets and hearing that noise, I won’t lie, that noise is sexy. I do like going to the airport to watch them their, amazing to see them take off and they usually circle over and swoop down right over you. What I wouldn’t give to get in one of those planes.

Anyone know if you have to buy a button for the beer garden? I heard you just have to pay five buckaroos…any truth to that?
