Things have been too serious around here with all the I-69 debate, so let’s all thank Pardon the Interruption for reminding me of the two year anniversary of this fantastic baseball tirade.

This video is great, but does anybody remember this? I seem to be the only person who saw it:

It was in July of 1999 and I don’t remember if it was a college team or somebody’s farm team. The pitcher had thrown a few close ones high and inside almost taking the batters head off. A third pitch resulted in the batter getting hit, he stood there, frozen in time for a minute, looked down at the catcher, kicked him in the chest knocking him over, and THEN ran after the pitcher.

I only remember this because he’s the first guy who was smart about charging the mound. Most people are stopped by the catcher before they even get halfway to the mound.

Anybody remember seeing this?
