New Feature: Video Comments!
It’s been a few months since I’ve added a new feature to the site, so I thought I’d spend some time this Memorial Day weekend implementing something I’ve wanted for quite a while.
As of today, you can now leave a video comment to any post on It’s Evansville. Video comments are a great way to express your thoughts visually either via spoken word or other clever methods that I’ll leave up to you. If you have a story you want to tell about your experience at a restaurant that just won’t fit into words, post a video comment. In addition to shooting video of yourself commenting, you can also embed another video you have stored on Viddler. If, for instance, you went to a show we review and want to post your video for context, it’s now easy.
Comments are powered by Viddler.com, which is one of my favorite site to upload videos to. All you need to get started is a Viddler account, microphone and video camera attached to your Mac or PC and a later version of Flash. As with regular comments, try to be somewhat tactful people. I don’t usually moderate comments unless it’s incredibly obscene. Same rules apply for video.

I’ve not been able to see any of the video comments actually plan. Do I have to sign up with viddler to get them to work or should they just do that when I click on them?

They should just play if you click them. What browser are you using?
