I was shocked to hear this- did you know that all the “homemade” signs being held were actually signs made by Obama staffers to look homemade?

I’ve been trying to find out if this is a normal practice…either way, it’s deplorable in my view.

The people holding the letters spelling out INDIANA- also made by Obama staffers, and apparently it took some time getting these people in the perfect view of the cameras. I can’t stand phoniness, and I assume most would feel the same way, so why manufacture events like this? Makes no sense to me.

Just thought that was interesting and surprising.

No one was forced to hold a sign. Everyone I saw (including myself) was more than willing. I think in order to keep things “appropriate” it makes sense to have the signs come from within the local campaign committee. It didn’t bother me.

Yeah, i don’t think its any different than them distributing the standard campaign signs. It’s a presidential rally, not WWE Raw :)

Yeah, no one was forced to carry a sign, but the point was to puposely hand out signs that were made to look like someone made it at home. No doubt, the point was to trick people viewing on TV into thinking a lot of people came with homemade signs, when they were all “staged” so to speak.

It’s not a big deal, but it’s a touch of trickery which is, in a general sense, dishonest.

From what I was told, Obama staffers made them. You can easily check homemade signs to make sure they’re okay for TV and public display and such…not sure why they thought they had to make their own staged homemade signs. Political rallies have, in general, become huge staged events- things placed here, people put there to get maximum exposure, certain people placed next to certain others to give a particular demographic appeal.

Wait, it IS raw. At least it was last week, wasn’t it? Or was that this week? I don’t follow wrestling, but I heard about it on the radio :)

Yeah, they were all three on Raw last week. McCain totally hammed it up for the camera.

LOL. Wow. Macaniacs running wild on you, huh?

I heard Obama and Hillary on Opie and Anthony, but this is the first time I’ve heard McCain’s thing. Nice.
