Open Thread: Best Evansville Coffee Hotspots

Since I’m presently between offices, I am spending most of my afternoons hanging out at the Green River Road Starbucks. It’s a great hangout, but I can’t help but think there are some better local coffee shops that I could check out a few days a week? As long as they offer good drinks and wireless Internet, I’m happy.
What’s your favorite?

I’m not a fan of coffee, but my husband says that the All American Coffee Co has awesome drinks. It’s on N. Green River Rd, in the plaza where Schnucks is. It’s in the little building next to Subway.

I tend to like Starbucks, but if you’re looking for something new, give Barnes and Noble a try :) It’s still Starbucks coffee, but a much bigger place to hang out in and plenty of tables to work on.

Another Starbucks fan here, love the new Caramel Skinny Lattes. My Starbucks of choice is the one at Red Bank on the Westside. Great manager, and it’s a bit bigger than the other Starbucks in town. It has a “city” feel to it.
Love those cranberry bliss bars, too!

I think it is funny how Starbucks is advertising the “skinny” as new. It’s always been around, always been an option. Oh well.
I need to try the Coffee Cottage on W/L, especially since I live just around the corner from it…Justin we should go this week

Saying you love Starbucks coffee is like saying you love Sam’s Choice sodas. There is nothing original or special about Starbucks, folks. Their decor is universal… kind of reminds me of Cracker Barrel on caffeine.
Bottom line: Coffee is coffee… shoot, even McDonalds makes a decent cup these days.

Another Starbucks fan…sorry, andyz. But I’m not sure it’s that the coffee is the greatest. It’s good….but like you said, so is McDonalds these days if you aren’t after something really strong. I even enjoy getting those refills at Denny’s Diner. But the Starbucks at Red Bank & Lloyd is great. It’s the friendliest bunch of people I’ve ever met in one place. My all time favorite cup of joe came from a little coffee cart in the hallway outside my office when I was at Wal-Mart Corp. in Arkansas. Alas…can’t handle the commute from southern Indiana.

My husband spends a lot of time at the Donut Banks in town. Free wifi…good coffee…great carbs.
