In Other News…

Sorry for disappearing yesterday. Let’s wrap up what we missed.

There is a memorial service today at 10AM this morning for the 3 students that were killed over the weekend on the Lloyd when their car lost control and went into oncoming traffic.
Speaking of those kids, the stretch of road the Lloyd they were killed on, between Barker & Rosenberger, does not meet current design standards for new construction of roads its size. There’s no barrier to prevent cars from easily passing into oncoming traffic.
At Harrison, five kids were arrested over the weekend for beating a guy nearly to death. The kids were said to be members of the East Side G’s. The victim, Tony Ray Mattingly Jr, was transferred to Deaconess Gateway Hospital with brain damage and other life threatening injuries.
The police were satisfied with their November traffic blitz. It was blatantly obvious there were increased patrols, but I really doubt it did much good. You’re welcomed to prove me wrong.

I know that kid who was put up in county.I went to harrison with him,ESG’s aint nothing to fuck with.Gerald summers said “kids like to pretend”. Im telling you,the EPD and the courts are in denial of the gang problems we got in Evansville. and i very much doubt they ran after both of them “flashing gang symbols and yelling “EAST SIDE G’S!” wth is this,the movies? the guy probably fucked up somehow,and paid the price.

ESG’s nothing to fuck with…are you kidding me. they are a bunch of high school students with nothing better to do than to beat up another loser kid in a rival “gang”. i put “gang” like that cuz these kids are just a bunch of wannabes. I doubt they would show these same gang signs or demeanor had they encountered any of the real gangs running rampant on the south side of evansville…where i happen to be from and have witnessed first hand. The school and the epd are severely lacking here,all of these trashy kids involved have gang related myspaces,some even including them throwing up gang signs in the school itself. Harrison seems to have just overlooked all this. They really should have one person at each school looking into the myspaces of these kids and seeing the trouble they cause. ESG…lol thats just funny to me.
