Evansville 911

Every now and then we check the Evansville police blotter and round up the local crime stories to put a spotlight on the riff-raff of society. We call it Evansville 911.

• Melinda Lindauer was in court today after being arrested on preliminary charges of involuntary manslaughter. Lindauer was accused of shooting Evansville-native Nicole Stroud on Thanksgiving night accidently. Lindauer was really aiming for Stroud’s Shih Tzu.
• Watch your back next time you hit the ATM. An Evansville woman was robbed at the ETFCU ATM on West Buena Vista this morning.
• An Evansville man was attacked early Sunday morning in a bar by a group of skinheads at Bucks Tavern on Fulton Avenue. The men were shouting “White Power” and “Aryan Nation” during the attack. No curb stompings were reported.
• Justin S. Steele, 21, and Michael A. Bristow, 22, went on a shooting spree with a paintball gun in Evansville Sunday night…allegedly. Paintballs were fired at three pedestrians on both Illinois and Governor street.
