There Is NOT a Pumpkin Shortage

If you were worried about not finding a pumpkin to carve for Wednesday’s Halloween festivities, breathe a sigh of relief. Despite the summer drought, this year has provided the best harvest of pumpkins ever at Goebel’s Farm Market. Pumpkins are able to survive the extreme weather we’ve had over the past six months unlike apples and other types of fruit that fell victim to the late sprint frosts and hot, dry summer.
If you happen to carve a pumpkin that you think we would enjoy, tag it with ‘itsevansville’ on Flickr. If there are enough, I’ll highlight the best on Wednesday.
