Step It Up Evansville 2.0

Step It Up Evansville, a local environmentalist group, is back again for their second rally of the year. This time they are targeting political leaders such as Brad Ellsworth to Step It Up.
The group plans to focus on three areas: a moratorium on new coal-fired power plants, an 80 percent cut in carbon emissions by 2050 and a focus on clean sources of renewable energy. Step It Up has asked Representative Ellsworth to speak at the event, but I haven’t heard if he accepted or not.
The last rally in April netted 200 protesters in front of Vetren’s headquarters to demand the company stop building coal-based power plants in Southern Indiana.
This latest rally begins at 10AM Saturday in front of the EVansville Civic Center.

Congressman Ellsworth is apparently sending a rep. Thanks for publishing this.
