Subscribe to It’s Evansville

If you’ve visited the site in the past week, you’ve probably noticed the black bar along the top of the site. I put that there to remind people that you can subscribe to receive daily updates via e-mail or instant-updates via RSS.

If you don’t know what RSS is, you’re missing out. It’s a technology that let’s you subscribe to a Web sites content and be notified whenever a new article is posted. You can learn more about the technology here. I use RSS to keep track of hundreds of Web sites, and don’t know how I lived without it.

The site has had e-mail subscriptions and RSS for several months, but this new bar should make it more obvious to new readers. I hope you enjoy it.

In other news, I have now exposed our new links section, which highlights other weblogs being written by people in town.
