Sorry for disappearing yesterday. Let’s catch up on some stuff.
- USI starts on Monday and the campus sure is growing.
- Work on the twin bridges is ahead of schedule. Workers plan to move their equipment to the southbound bridge in the middle of September.
- If you’re wondering why they’ve been painting the old Garfields restaurant next to Outback, you’ll be interested to know that it is being turned into LA Grill & Ale House. It is being described as an upscale sports bar restaurant. We’ll be sure to go check it out.
- I’m sure I am not the only one that is tired of the heat. Thursday also was the 25th consecutive day at or above 90 here — second only to the summer of 1936’s streak of 27 days.
