Release Your Inner German: Evansville Volksfest Starts Today
In case you weren’t aware, Evansville has some deep german roots, and every now and then we like to let them shine. One of those occasion is going on today through Saturday at Germania Maennerchor’s Volksfest on Evansville’s West Side.
The Volksfest is all about eating, drinking and dancing. If you’ve been dying to have an authentic german bratwurst or pig knuckles, look no further. There’s also non-German food at the event, but why would you go to Volksfest for that? There will be live music each day by the Schnapps Band, the Rhein Valley Brass and the club’s new Rathskeller Band.
Volksfest runs daily from 11AM to Midnight at 916 N. Fulton Ave. After 2PM, you must be 21 to be admitted; after 5PM, there’s a $4 admission.
