Site Tip: Get a Commenter Icon
One of the new features I implemented in the site’s launch last June is the use of unique commenter icons. If you’ve seen any of my comments on the site you’ll notice the little South Park character I designed for myself. You too can have this functionality for the comments you leave on It’s Evansville, and a lot of other sites around the Web.
The service I am using is called Gravatar. To get an icon, all you need to do is sign up for a regular Gravatar account with the e-mail address you use to comment on the site. You can then attach any image you want to that e-mail address. In the future, when you leave a comment on It’s Evansville, your icon will show up next to the post.
Having a commenter icon gives you a unique identity and helps your comment stand out. It also makes it easy for other It’s Evansville readers to quickly recognize your future comments. Give it a shot!

Went to gravatar, created an account, uploaded an avatar, still nothing.
I see your avatar. It takes a few minutes to queue up i think.
I still don’t see your avatar chimpie, and it’s 7pm. I also don’t see mine which I created several weeks ago.
I don’t have one either and I tried to do it this morning:(
