- New EVSC superintendent Vince Bertram outlined his initial changes for the school system. The school system will add a new chief academic officer to oversee curriculum, and a new chief financial officer tasked with educating the public on how the $200 million budget works, and finding ways to save taxpayer dollars.
- The Lakeside Commons 5/3 branch was robbed Sunday night and several night deposits were stolen.
- The LST 325 is going on a month-long trip in August. It will be visiting Peoria and Henry, Illinois.
- The Rug Merchant has moved downtown into the former Baynham’s Shoe Co. building.
