Saturday night - 7pm - Goebel Soccer Complex, 6800 N Green River Rd
Evansville Vipers vs. Louisville Bulls
This is semi-pro football folks! Come and support your local team. Come and watch two former Reitz High School teammates play against each other: Josh Whicker plays for the Bulls and Mark James plays for the Vipers. There are other former local high school football players playing in this league also.
Unfortunately, our newspapers and tv sports people don’t think this team merits the same recognition as the Blue Cats.

I don’t discriminate (unless its karaoke or poker night). :)
If someone sends me a tip the week of a game, I will publish it in the evening activities posts.

Hey Oxygen - that’s not true, I know plenty of DJ’s here in the Tri-State with excellent table skills who mix outside of 96sto music. This whole poppy-rap gig has got to go, and I think if you tried to appeal to a different crowd, you’d have a better turnout. People who would be genuinely interested in coming out to dance to solid club music are dissuaded by the overly thick gangsta’ rap scene.
I know (counting myself) three people who spin vinyl JUST AT USI. From my experience, your “club music” doesn’t really do the whole “club” scene much justice. There’s more to it than simply sticking mix CDs back-to-back into autocue.
Pfft! [/rant_end]

Neale, where do you and the other DJs that you know spin? I’d like to check it out some time.
