Starbucks Raises Prices 9 Cents

Part of the week, I write It’s Evansville at a the Starbucks on the east side of town. I am a sucker for their frappuccinos and teas. Not to mention the people are friendly. It looks like me, and the rest of the Starbucks nation, is going to have to bring a few more coins into Starbucks next week.
Starbucks has announced that it is raising prices on it drinks by an average of 9 cents. The price increase, the second in the past 12 months, is being blamed on the rising cost of dairy products.
Is 9 cents enough to keep you from going back into Starbucks?

Starbucks will profit madly with this.
And as for the rise of dairy costs, milk is now at $4+ a gallon. Ridiculous.

It’s not like Starbucks wasn’t profitting madly before the supplemental price jacking. While I love Starbucks coffee, I’m sure that you won’t see a price hike in off-brands like Joe Muggs a la Books-A-Million. “Rising dairy costs,” I’m willing to bet, is going to be an empty excuse to keep Starbucks’ profit margins on the rise.

I work at the place that sells the above-described off-brand coffee. No price hikes to speak of. Starbucks is just trying to keep there profits sky-high (er, higher)
