EVV to IND: Not So Fast!
When someone asks me about my biggest pet peaves in Evansville I usually put our airport at the top of the list. It’s not that I think our airport is complete garbage, but it frustrates me to no end that a flight to Chicago is nearly $400 out of Evansville, while it’s half price a mere 90 minutes away. I understand the economics of it, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it.
Another downfall of our airport is the lack of a daily flights between our city and Indianapolis. Our aiport was settling on Cape Air to provide this new service this fall, but news has come that they’ve voluntarily downed most of its Cessna fleet due to two engine failures in May.
The good news is that Cape Air downed the planes themselves to investigate the problem. The bad news is that it may further delay the daily flights between here and our state capital.
