Sorry for the slow day. Lots going on behind the scenes. Here’s some news.

• Check out our friends from the Demolition City Roller Derby in the Courier. Good job, gals.
• I was wondering what all the sirens were about near It’s Evansville’s world headquarters downtown. Turns out a truck crashed into a mother and her two kids. The mother died, but the children are in critical condition.
• Cool crash photo of the day. An EPD officer crashed her cruiser into a utility pole last night. She’ll be fine, but be sure to click through to see how messed up her car is.
• Remember Gerald Rainey, the EPD officer charged with stealing money from a drug bust…allegedly? He has resigned.
• Any while it’s not exactly Evansville related, it’s still too good to pass up. Gov. Mitch Daniels was bitten on the leg by a dog at a farm just outside Bloomington Wednesday after the governor unintentionally startled the animal with his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Dogs Ditch Mitch.
