Dope Of The Week: Timothy Hess
If you were driving near Fulton Avenue this afternoon, you might have seen a high speed chase between Evansville Police and a dump truck. Officers followed the reckless driving truck driver to Virginia and Garfield where they finally were able to pull the driver out.
That drive is 25-year-old Timothy Hess. Police say that Hess allegedly stole the dump truck from an Indianapolis body shop. Upon his capture, Hess had a few words to share with EPD officers.
You can take me to the hospital but I’m not mental. I come out and I will still smoke pot. Okay, well, I been to prison so that ain’t gonna hurt me none.
Words of wisdom to live by for sure.
What lesson is to be learned from this? A police cruiser is always going to be faster than a dump truck.
