In Other News…

Don’t you hate when client work gets in the way of blogging? Sorry about that.
- Nanny government alert. The Evansville City Council will vote Monday on the proposed bicycle helmet ordinance. Fines of $25 for the first offense and $50 for each subsequent violation. No word on whether or not they will pass the ordinance on not washing your hands after using the restroom. Ok, that was a joke.
- Former UE basketball coach Steve Merfeld is taking an assistant coaching job at Bradley.
- In the whowouldathunkit category comes news that there were massive delays on the Twin Bridges thanks to construction. How do you pass your time waiting to cross that money saving bridge?
- Following suit with several other state universities, Ivy Tech is increasing tuition by 3.9% over the next two years.
- In other traffic related news, I-64 through downtown Louisville will be closed for three weekends in a row this summer. The weekend closings begin June 8th, but beginning July 5th the interstate will be closed for 30 days straight. Crews will be working around the clock to repair and resurface the interstate, known as the Riverside Expressway.
