Weekend Happenings

Finally, it’s Friday. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, here’s a few suggestions.

Friday

• There is live comedy tonight at 7:45PM at the Prickly Pear.
• Wired has Sinclair, Junior Revolution, 4-seamer, Second Term and Memories of Tomorrow.
• Looking for some metal? The Duck Inn has Shatter The Odds, Appolabus and Stigmatic starting at 10PM.
• Fast Eddy’s has local favorite Stompbox 40 at 10PM.
• Akacia is at Lanhucks starting at 10:30PM.

Saturday

• If you’re not too hung over and can afford the $3.15 gas, head over to Owensboro for the International BBQ Fest. Nothing beats Owensboro BBQ. Besides the food, there are exhibitors and live music.
• If you’re more into arts and crafts, the Creative Arts & Crafts Festival is taking place tomorrow at Audobon Park in Henderson. The show runs from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
• Starting at 3:00PM there’s live music and a skateboard competition at Walthers Golf & Fun Center on First Avenue. The show runs until 9:30.
• Wired has a Battle of the Bands to benefit the Evansville Youth Council starting at 7PM.
• Fast Eddy’s has local favorite Stompbox 40 at 10PM.
• Akacia is at Lanhucks starting at 10:30PM.
• And if you want to see my brother, he’ll be at Hammerhead for 80’s night passing out It’s Evansville stickers. The fun starts at 10PM.
