Get Out of the House: Hump Day Edition

While we here at It’s Evansville celebrate another tradition on Wednesday (WOW), it’s apparently also a busy night for evening entertainment around town. Here’s a few suggestions.

If you want to go see an independent film, head to the Central Library downtown to see the Japanese film Who’s Camus Anyway starting at 6:30PM. The story is set on the campus of a university in Tokyo. Students from the literature department’s “film workshop” are about to start shooting their movie The Bored Murderer, part of their course curriculum. Everyone is in a rush to prepare for the shoot, but the lead actor drops out suddenly, and the team is forced to search for a replacement at the last minute.

If you’re interested in some live music, there’s quite a few options. Dead Weight is playing at Deer Head starting at 8PM. Ri Ra has live acoustic music starting at 9:30PM. Metal heads should head to Lamasco for Deliver Us From Evil starting at 10PM. Woody’s also has live music with Six Hills Giant at 10PM.

If you’re looking for something else, a lot of other bars are doing Karaoke, poker or have live DJs.
