Breaking: Bank Robbery on Main St
Details are sketchy at this point, but the Integra bank next to It’s Evansville’s world headquarters across from Turonis was robbed this morning. The suspect was already caught according to WFIE. The robbery happened around 9:15 this morning. Dispatchers say the suspect is a black male who tried to escape police by changing his shirt in a nearby alley. Police also found a discarded knife near Integra. Police chased the suspect on foot and caught him at the intersection of Main and Iowa streets.

Yanno it seems like evansville is getting more corrupted everyday.i mean robberies,murders,ppl gettin shot,drugs are a daily thing here in eville,i mean from the richest parts to the poorest,all skools,theres drug addicts. I love evansville and i dont ever plan on leaving,but damn its getting dangerous. good report tho :)

I see Jay Zimmer there covering the story for WIKY. He lives about a block away from that Integra branch; I wonder if he had to drive over from the station, or just walked over from his house?

Jay Zimmer does live right down from the bank, however, he was downtown planting trees with the South Central Radio Group to make the downtown area look nicer. The radio station does several things in the community to help try and make Evansville a better place. He had to hurry to get there. Thus the reason he has no shirt and tie but is in a t-shirt. This is not the first time the bank has been robbed.I know all of this because I am his wife.
