Play Golf America Comes to Evansville
One of the spring rights of passage for many people is that first golf outing of the season. For many, myself included, golf offers a relaxing escape from reality for a few hours every week. A national program is coming to town next month in hopes of enticing others to be bit by the golfing bug.
Play Golf America is a program funded by the PGA, LPGA, The USGA and the National Golf Course Owner’s Association that encourages people of all types and ages to get involved in golf. They have groups for families, women, kids, college students, business golfers, people with disabilities, etc. The Play Golf America program has chosen Fendrich Golf Course as one of the 67 courses it will visit this year to promote the game of golf. Highlights of the day will include free golf clinics by area PGA professional. The clinics will be for both beginners and seasoned golfers.
Play Golf America will be in town May 5 between 10AM and 2PM. For more information contact Fendrich Golf Course at (812) 435-6070

What a great program! I’m glad to see that Evansville is picking up on Play Golf America. They have great clinics that are usually cheap or free. It’s an awesome way to get involved in a really fun sport.
