Dope of the Week

A Bloomington, Indiana man has been arrested on charges of theft and resisting arrest after executing four flawless Diner Dashes. Unfortunately for Douglas Samulak, the 5th time he wasn’t so luck.

Mr. Samulak had a love for O’Charley’s rib-eye steaks matched up with two gin and tonic drinks on Wednesday evenings. When it was time to pay, he would excuse himself to the restroom and head out the back door leaving the restaurant to foot the bill. Not a bad plan if you have some variety in your life, but if you go back to the same restaurant 4 weeks in a row, chances are, you are going to get recognized.

Restaurant workers approached Samulak at his 5th Wednesday night steak dinner. He fled, but was quickly detained by cops outside waiting for him.

I’m not sure if we should vote Samulak dope of the week for trying the same scam at the same restaurant 5 weeks in a row or for having such an affection for O’Charley’s.
