- The city of Evansville held a meeting to discuss the city’s pools and a new plan to close all existing swimming facilities and replace them with 4 new locations in town. Opposition to the plan says that the current pools can be salvaged with renovation and keeping them open for longer hours to increase attendance.
- A local lawyer’s office was raided for methamphetamine making materials.
- Casino Aztar names a new general manager from within. It’s only the second GM for the casino since it opened back in 1995.
- A few college kids around town have started up a roller derby team. They still are looking for more players, so if you like skating and being beat up, check out their MySpace.
- We told you yesterday that people at the Civic Center were hot. Today, seniors are hot thanks to no working AC at their apartment complex. Don’t worry though. The EHA says the parts are on order…and will arrive in mid-April.
